‘You comin’ for me? You comin’ for me! I’m the only one here so you must be here for me! Who do you think you are, you feckin’ knacker? I’m Boxer the second and I know my rights. I got my hose here. I made my move. It’s your move now. Try it. Come for me. Make my day!
‘Yeah, you better run! And keep runnin’. Ha!’

Dear Rochelle from Friday Fictioneers chose this lovely picture for us by Douglas M. MacIlroy. I hope you like my attempt at a mash-up 🙂
I love this!
🙂 thank you
You gave the horse real character
I wanted him to be badass 🙂
the horse and the hose are in league / great job
hehe 🙂 thanks
Defiant to the very end. I like a horse with spirit. He definitely shouldn’t be headed to the knackers.
No, Boxer here has some good years ahead of him.
That is a horse with an attitude. He’ll end up running a knackers for humans if we aren’t careful.
janet
I wouldn’t put it past him.
Great fun. I love his attitude and I enjoyed your take on the prompt, nicely done!
Thank you Penny, I’m glad you like it.

A horse with attitude. Love it!
Thank you Sandra 🙂
Backing away now, Boxer. Don’t pelt me with your hose. Cute story, Sandra.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Hehe 🙂 thank you Rochelle.
haha that’s one bad-ass horse! your story and your horse rocked ^^
😀 Thank you KZ
Haha.. this horse has come alive in your story ! 🙂
You’re very kind, thank you.
loved the take on the prompt !
🙂 thank you
This horse will make you drink if you try to force it into anything. An original idea.
Will waterboard you more like, considering his attitude.
Cute! I love it.
This is a funny story. A nice water fight in the summer is so much fun. 😆
Yes, I have many happy memories with my siblings doing just that, until the pipe accidentally turned on the windows. Then the memory flashes to mum’s red face, screaming that she has to clean all the windows again, and terror!
LOL yea those memories. With us it was the water over watering my grandmother’s flowers and veggies.
Nicely done. If you don’t mind my asking, what’s a “knacker”?
🙂 I had to research that: It’s the man who collects animals from farms either cos they are dead, sick or otherwise unable to work. (At least that’s the definition I found)
AnElephantCant help loving a horse with attitude!
And I can’t help but thank AnElephant-
I could almost see the smile on the horse!

Ok, backing away here. He means business! Really fun take on the prompt.
Thank you for reading 🙂
You gave that character life and lines. Gotta love it.
Aloha,
Doug
😀 Thank you Doug, I’m glad you think so.
That horse will never be lasagna 😉
I hope not or that lasagna would give you food poisoning!
That horse has anger issues. 😉
Never knew a horse could be such a bad-ass ! lol.
That’s so cute. Nothing more fun than a water fight with a garden hose.
I like the take on the prompt and the dialect you reveal. Nice writing!
Thanks a lot 🙂
