‘It’s the Beesity epidemic?’
‘The what?’
‘You know… what they were saying on the news the other day…the obesity epidemic that’s hit the bees!’
‘Oh! … What the hell is that?’
‘It doesn’t matter, just stay away from the damn things. Charlie from work said that his mother’s cousin’s daughter was stung by one and it split her in half.’
‘Oh!’
‘If it comes anywhere near you just don’t move and stay calm.’
‘Oh! … OH! … Brady…?’
‘Yes, sweetie?’
‘Don’t panic…’
‘Why should I panic, sweetie?’
‘Do. Not. Move.’
‘Shit! Sweetie? … Sweetie? Where are you going? Sweetie!’

For Friday Fictioneers. Not particularly proud of my attempt this week, but it is what it is. Hope you like it better than I do!
beesity spread by bees – innovative 🙂
Heh 🙂 thanks
Very creative! Well done.
Thank you, Jan.
Oh, beesity, of course!! I think rather than splitting you in half it makes you twice as large. 🙂 As for standing still and staying calm, once when I was very young, a bee made an appearance near me and wouldn’t go away. I stood statue-like for what seemed ages before calling my parents to help.

Ah! That’s a great idea, I should have thought of that!
…but did it sting you?
No, it didn’t sting me, thankfully.
hehe made me chuckle. and hey, at least you gave it a whirl!
Yeah, that’s true! thanks for reading, Christina.
Got a solid smile out of me!

I’m glad to here that, Scott! 🙂
I was gonna say..Oh, beesity. But Janet already did ;( Looks like this tale is bringing out the cornballs. lol
Haha! 😀 Thanks, Janet.
beesity may be a worse epidemic than what we face.
AHahahaha! Best bee pun of the whole set so far. 😀
Aw! That’s sweet! Thank you for reading and bigger thank you for pressing Follow! 😀
Great tension right at the end there — and the ‘besity epidemic — very creative!
I liked it very much! I especially thought it was unique, based on the idea that presumably “sweetie” got Brady killed in an effort to save their own skin, yes?
Dear Sandra,
Cute play on words. Hope we can get the beesity problem under control soon.
Shalom,
Rochelle
