Tap-tap, pause.
Click-clicking of nails on plastic.
Tap-tap, stop.
Silence.
Sigh.
Hum; wheels rolling on floor.
Shrill whistle of a kettle.
Clink-clank; metal against glass.
One loud tap; three keys at once.
Silence.
Tap-tapping; fast.
Non-stop.

It is Trifextra time again. The theme this weekend is “A New Beginning”. I hope I did not go too far out with this one!
Ahh… The thrill of writing. Well done.
Thank you 🙂
🙂 tickety tickety tickety . . . . music to my ears. 🙂
…and mine! 🙂 Thanks for visiting Barbara
Heh. A reflection of how we all feel, I’m sure!
I’d like to think so yes…united in our writing 🙂
It’s great, once the writing flows (got to have a beginning before you get the middle and end :))
The key phrase in your comment is, “once the writing flows”. Sometimes it just comes, sometimes it takes ages to form a single sentence – but the satisfaction once your fingers start moving is a true rush!
What a novel idea-to write about the “process” of writing:-)
Well…I spend too much time staring in the void, deleting whole paragraphs I have just written and procrastinating by making tea – I thought these efforts should be lauded as much as the finished written product…
Oh,do tell me about those, lol! And I am very new to this world & thus I applaud these efforts which lead to the finished product:-)
Hehe. Probably just as new as I am 😉
Ha!ha!
Genious, I love this sort of texts that provide more than just visual stimuli. You should win!
Aww you’re so kind Mirela! Thank very much for visiting…
Love this so much! The onomatopoeia of writing lol
I considered entering a tirade of curse words that come to me when the words don’t, but then that would have removed from the flow of the piece. Lol.
Love what you’ve done with the prompt – very clever and really well written! I can definitely relate!
I thought most of those who read it might 🙂 Thank you for visiting.
What did you put in that tea, girl?!
Hush-hush, won’t tell!
So familiar to a writer. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
You’re welcome 🙂
Trip, trip, tripping along. Very stimulating.
😀 Thanks
Love the musical quality. And so easily relatable to us – nice job!
I’m sure we’ve all been there some time or other. Thanks for your comment Stephanie.
Such an auditory piece! Great take on the prompt.
Thank you Stacie 🙂
I adore this take on the prompt!
That is sweet of you, thank you.
